the all-inclusive hyatt ziva is lovely and an easy uber to the venue. We will be spending sunday on the beach at the hyatt (day passes should be available for those not staying at the Hyatt, but please book in advance). If you decide to stay at the Hyatt, please book in advance as prices will go up as we get closer to the event.
we also recommend airbnbs in the zona romantica or amapas neighborhoods. shuttle transportation will be available after the reception from the venue to the Hyatt Ziva and then the Parque Lazaro Cardenas in the romantic zone. it should be easy to catch an uber or taxi from this location if your accommodations are not walkable from the park. El Hyatt Ziva es precioso y está cerca del lugar del evento. Pasaremos el domingo en la playa del Hyatt (Debería haber pases de un día disponibles, pero conviene reservar con antelación). Si deciden alojarse en el Hyatt, les rogamos que reserven con antelación, ya que los precios subirán a medida que se acerque la fecha del evento.
También recomendamos alojarse en Airbnb en la Zona Romántica o en el barrio de Amapas. Habrá servicio de transporte desde el lugar del evento hasta el Hyatt Ziva y luego al Parque Lázaro Cárdenas, en la Zona Romántica, después de la recepción. Spend the day at one of Puerto Vallarta's famous beaches - either at your hotel or at one of the beach clubs on Los Muertos beach.
Vallarta Botanical Gardens
The property includes approximately 80 acres of tropical botanical gardens and a restaurant that serves a great brunch (usually with Mariachi!).
Dining
No trip to Puerto Vallarta is complete without enjoying the local dining scene.
For a Michelin-level take on local Vallarta cuisine, we recommend Tintoque.
For one of the most flavorful meals in Mexico, La Fina can't be beat.
For sunset dinners over the Pacific, La Palapa is a classic.
For taco lovers, Pancho's Takos is worth the line (which can last for up to an hour or more).
For breakfast or brunch, Azul Bistro is the best (tell Meme (pronounced May-may) Carlos and Chris sent you).
For the freshest seafood lunch, try Mariscos El Guero.
Please check hours at all places, and reservations are definitely recommended at Tintoque, La Fina + La Palapa.
CAROUSING
The Zona Romantica is famous for its lively LGBT bars and clubs.
For those looking for a refined cocktail, we recommend El Colibri in Centro or El Tasting Room in 5 de Diciembre.
HIKE TO THE MIRADOR DE LA CRUZ
For the physically fit with very sensible shoes, this is an excellent hike through the cobblestone streets of Centro to a beautiful lookout over the city. Many steps - wear plenty of sunblock and bring plenty of water.
